When they installed the new disposal they didn't remove the plug out of the disposal before they connected the dishwasher back. Call whoever installed it and ask if they did.

Replaced the disposal without knocking out the dishwasher plug in the connection tube? Remove the dishwasher drain hose from the disposal and pop the plug in with a screwdriver and a hammer. Replace the hose.

When they fixed the garbage disposal they must have kinked the hose. You can also check the filters inside. I think though that when the repair was made they did something wrong.

check underneath your dishwasher and look for two solenoids. one will have your incoming water and the other is your drain solenoids. make sure the electric is plugged into it and that the plunger moves freely. if both these look good you might have to replace the assembly. (easy to do)

Just had that problem. You'll have to call a contractor in to blow the pipes and clean the filter. You should really do that once a year anyway because bacteria can build up leading to spotty dishes and possible parasites in your digestive tract that can lead to upset stomach and diarrhea.
