Saddle soap is best, since it contains oils and waxes to soften and preserve leather. If you can access the following, here's a formula to make one yourself:- 2 oz soap powder, half oz neetsfoot or castor oil, half oz beeswax, 8 oz hot water.Dissolve the soap in the hot water, heat the neetsfoot and wax together in a double boiler, (not over an open flame) until the wax melts, then mix and pour into the hot soap solution.Stir until the mixture begins to thicken, then pour into cold cream jars or...Apply with a damp cloth, then buff with a dry one.

the underside of the white vinyl is probably black, and maybe the crack is completely through down to the underside. If so, cleaning will not help and saddle soap won't fix it. I would recover them with a fabric instead of vinyl.

Sounds intense-high quality to me. in case you like the seem, then keep it. you may paint the table legs white and use a tablecloth in case you elect the table & chairs to verify. I also have a formica table with a yellow good and black legs. The yellow does no longer adventure something in my kitchen, so I in basic terms keep it coated.
