it's been 3days now when i moved in to this apartment but just can't stand the smell. thought it was due to new paint & steam cleaning of the carpet but for sure it's pet odor that caused by urine & other stuff. yesterday i told my apartment manager to come by but havn't heard from him yet. can i request to change the carpet or is there a way to eliminate this pet odor? who pays for this ?

At the basement, I have a suspended ceiling. However, when I play my home audio, this ceiling starts shaking and makes a jingling sound, which is really annoying. And that's only with 70-watts system. I'm about to set up a 1500 watts subwoofer in here yet it I'm sure it'll shake the ceiling so badly that I won't want to go even 1/10th of the possible power. So, the question is - what can I do so that the celining does not make any annoying sounds? Setting up a permanent ceiling is out of question, since I need to have access to all the pipes and everything else. Setting up the sound isolation under the ceiling won't do either, since the ceiling is already low as it is, and I can't bring them any higher either. Changing the ceiling completely is too expensive. What else can you recommend?
I read more than enough about setting up audio systems, so please answer accordingly, about the ceiling only.

We are looking for some cheap patch tiles to cut and match to the current floor until we can repair it. Does anybody have any ideas that are easy to install and affordable? Any other suggestions?

This really wet weather has made the clover in my lawn spread like a carpet. I did treat it earlier this year but it has now got such a hold I am unsure how I should treat the lawn to get rid of the clover.

Any advice how to rid would be most welcomed. Thank you.

We just completely drained our pool that came with the house and cleaning it completely before adding water in it, is it going to be safe to keep it empty for the winter? or should we add more water to the pool in order to keep everything in good condition? either way is no problem.... thanks for any help... also, what would the chemical treatment for winter be (if we do need to refill it?)

I've got a lamp, and the switch broke. I'm trying to install a new switch. I understand the installation process, but I have to keep things straight between the black (hot) wires and white wires. However, on the lightbulb end, I have two black wires, one of which has white letters. On the power source end, I have only yellow/translucent wires, and one has black letters. Does anybody know for sure which is which?

Do the black letters on a yellow wire mean it's black? Do white letters on a black wire mean it's white? Or do letters, in general, indicate one color or the other?

Im trying to charge my new lawn mower. The charger that came with the mower is measured in ac amps. When I hooked it up, the needle jumped right to 10 amps (biggest number on the meter) after a while I checked the meter and the needle was pointing to 0 amps. I know the mowers battery doesn't come charged. Whats going on?
