Concrete is measured in cubic yards.. Formula: length time width, divide by 50. For a six in pour that should get you real close. I hope this helps......A GC

You will need 26 cubic feet (.5' x 1' x 52') of cement. The bags of cement should be labeled as to the volume they will produce.

1 FT x .5FT x 52 FT = 26 CF
There are 27 CUBIC FT per YARD of concrete.

26CF/27 CF/YRD - .96 Yards.

If you buy it premixed in a truck it will be a yard.

If you buy BAG mix there are TWO main yields. 1/2 CF bags and 2/3 CF bags.

If you use bags that YIELD 1/2 CF per bag then you will need at least 52 bags.

If you use bags that YIELD 2/3 CF per bag you will need at least 39 bags.

Good luck....

most concrete is figure 4 inches thick but its--

12 times 52 equals-- 624 sq ft divide by 80--
roughly 7.1 yds at 4 inches deep so at 6 inches deep 8 yds of concrete ----- be sure to cut the edge ( like a very small trench)of the form so it does not wash out with rain

You Will need 10 yards of concrete order 3,000 psi if it is residential it will meet your design strength requirements. dont go bag route ready cement is only for really small projects. the going rate for concrete is roughly 50-110 a yard

been a long time since i poured a 6" deep footer but if i recall ,i yard of concrete 6" x 12" wide will cover 25 running ft......so that equals about 2 1/4 yds..all ur concrete company and tell them ur specs and they will use a slide ruler and hit it on the dot.
