Two years ago I installed a new concrete driveway. Living in a freeze/thaw area of the country, I used gravel for drainage and installed 4 inch fiber reinforced concrete. Now I am seeing hairline cracks across the width of the driveway. At first I thought it was curing cracks. However, since the cracks are becoming wider, I attribute this to settlement. Any suggestions on how to fix, repair, or mitigate the cracking before it becomes worse and unsightly?

They have been asked nice soooo many times and when they do think their cleaning up after their pets they just water it down. they are home and the dogs still bark and wake us at least 2 times a night. They have been living in the trailer for over 7mo,and they have no drainage for there waste? The back yard has rats Ive seen them at night and the front yard is a total mess, also. With this heat and 5dogs and 5 cats it smells so bad and they dont care. Ive made complaints and so have othre neighbors. I know its not the animals fault but something needs to be done.the cats S***in my yard and the dogs isn't ever picked up .We have to ask all the time and nothing ever gets better.

I'm trying to avoid paying the trash collector an extra $20 per month to rent a dumpster. I would rather repair the dumpster I have. Does anyone know who does this type of work? I'm located in the Cincinnati, Ohio area.

Tomorrow will be one week since I have seen a mouse in my house. My husband has set 12 traps up and put out a box of orfin. We have also sealed up any places where we think it could of got in. My husband thinks it's gone, but we have small children and I'm nervous about letting them play down there again. Also there has been no new mouse droppings. I just want to have proof that the mose is dead!

I have a gas fireplace (Heat-N-Glo) in master bedroom. This fireplace has a switch on the wall just like a regular switch for any house lights. The pilot seems a lot bigger than the one seen in gas stove.

I am just wondering if it is needed to turn the pilot light off in the summer. If it is good to do, who can do it? If I can do it, how?

Thanks!

Anyone know how to lower the temputure gauge on my boiler? When it's running alot it gets up to about 20--but I know the normal is suppose to be about 14-15. I tried turning this one valve but it raised it cuz I didn't know it was the one that fed water into it. My plumber tells me not to be concerned--but I am cuz it bangs alot.

Our family seems fine, but I notice black spots which I take to be mold on the part of the unit that blows out the cold air (not the filter, which is clean). Is there a safe disinfectant that can be sprayed inside the unit?

I measured the diameter of the existing shower arm, 5/8". The diamter of the new handheld showerhead attachment is 3/4". So the new attachment is bigger than the existing arm. That is a 1/8" difference. Can that be made up with teflon tape? Is ther some sort of adapter I can use? Please help.

I am quite good at installing plumbing and could probably install a combi boiler. Could I install my own combi boiler and then just get a plumber to hook it up to the gas? If you are a plumber would you put your name on an installation that someone else has installed?
