"Best" really depends on what you're after doesnt it?

A rustic wood sided home, might look "best" with a similar facia.... but that might look odd on a vinyl sided home, yes?

If you want long lasting, then perhaps vinyl would be a good choice. Or, you might prefer a cement product, like HardiBaord. This will last even longer than vinyl.

So, "best" really depends on what your goals are... get more specific, and you can get better answers.

I agree, the new pvc type is the way to go, even if the cost is higher, your maintainence is minimized and shrinking and warping is not a problem. lowes and the depot sell it.
