It is a tub/shower combo and I removed the current shower head and replaced it with a hand held shower head. When I turn on the shower around half of the water still comes out of the tub facuet. What do I need to do to make all of the water come out of the shower head?
Thanks!

It sounds like the shower deverter isn't sealing when you switch it from tub to shower, you can replace the seals in the center knob to allow it to seal properly or you can replace the water spicket in the tub that is equipped with a pull up knob to devert water to shower and push down for water flow into the tub. good luck.

We had that same problem. We changed the tub spout and it now works right. You can buy just the tub spout at Walmart for less than 10.00. It turns like a regular handle. Be sure not to tighten it to much, if you have tile it might break (speaking from experience)

It"s probably one of the water-saver heads they tend to cause that problem. I took mine back off and enlarged the opening inside it by drilling it out with a larger bit. That stopped the water from both ends problem for me.
