it's been 3days now when i moved in to this apartment but just can't stand the smell. thought it was due to new paint & steam cleaning of the carpet but for sure it's pet odor that caused by urine & other stuff. yesterday i told my apartment manager to come by but havn't heard from him yet. can i request to change the carpet or is there a way to eliminate this pet odor? who pays for this ?

I doubt the landlord is going to pay for something like changing the carpet.
Check your lease today. You've only been there a few days, and there may be something in the lease that applies to interior problems being the responsibility of the landlord. Maybe you can get him to pay again to have the carpet cleaned by someone better than last time :(
Good luck...

A stinky carpet isn't a well-being or protection difficulty. LOL it is being slightly overly dramatic. Your landlord is powerful: you're able to have introduced this up on the walk by way of once you moved in. he's below NO criminal accountability to grant you new carpeting. He wiped sparkling the carpet and did what he mandatory to to make the area waiting for brand spanking new tenants. No, you could not wreck the settlement and not pay the early termination expenses only on account which you do not purely like the carpet.

Why didn't you mention it when he showed you the apartment, before you moved in? Keep asking him about it.

You can request your landloard to do anything you want. Getting him to do it is another story
