When you leave your ac on auto you are telling it to blow cold air only if the room is not at the temperature displayed on your thermostat. If you leave it at on all the time it is going to blow air regardless of the temperature in the room. so if it is always blowing it is always consuming electricity and your bill will be higher.

Of course it would, That fan on ON has to be using electricity. The outside unit will still cut on and off as normal when in the ON position. And if its a gas furnace, the motor will be 120 volts, Lower the voltage, the higher the amps, means higher bills.

if your freezing then the temp is set low. That is the biggest part of the bill (temp). if the temp is lower,(74) and the fan is set to ON, then it will feel cooler but not cost as much.

I'm not sure of your question....but I know if you set your thermostat to a certain temperature....the recommended temp is 78 for summer 68 for winter....you save money that way!
