How do I hook up a light fixture?

I have two wires coming out of the fixture, plus a ground wire. I want to wire it into a wall socket plug.

What are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to mount the fixture to a receptical or is it a free standing fixture and you are trying to wire a plug to it?
