Wear & tear is making my fence lean out - couple of slats broken, latch/hook/lock rusted solid, dirt eroding away-leaving space. Used to have dog that was a digger - have cement beneath topsoil to stop him, except at the gate! So it's 3/4 of a panel and a gate - repair or replace? Cheaper & easier for single woman not too good with this stuff but will learn to save $ if I have to

Sounds like the best bet would be to replace the effected areas. Especially the locking mechanism on the gate. You could replace some of the pickets in the fence, but it sounds like the support pole for that section may need replacing.
