I use a 50/50 mix of me-tho and water, put on with a wet cloth, and shine with a dry cloth. As for the top story windows I would advise, very carefully! Have a good day.

Windex makes a Spray that connects to your garden hose- works ok, - but nothing beats cleaning with paper towels , you need a ladder, unless you can remove the lower sash, then reach up on the outside of the window, careful not to fall out.

If you don't have the kind of windows that "tip in" I recommend getting a professional to take care of the outside in high places. It is much safer and you can usually find someone who does a great job for not too much $$.

Take the screen out (if there is one) and stick your hand out the window and wash, than put the top part all the way down, and wash it by putting your hand out.
