Is it coming from the pipe or the connection? If the connection then you probably need a new washer - they are eaily bought and easily fitted - ask at your DIY store.

As others have said, double check if the water is coming from the pipe or leaking from the hose.
If its from the hose, get a new hose or washer.
If its from the overflow pipe, dont try and fix it. If you block the overflow and you have another fault with the shower, all the water will go straight into the electrics.
Unless you really know what you are doing, don't take the chance.

I think that is your overpressure relief valve. You need to call in a professional.
Yep. I just checked my manual. Your PRD has activated due to a kinked hose, blocked shower head, or some other blockage causing overpressure.
Do not try to seal over the PRD port. It is a safety mechanism.
Find the blockage, fix it. Then go to your plumber supply and get a new PRD and install.

IGNORE ALL THE ANSWERS, (except skintknee & paulrb8) your pressure relief valve has operated and needs to be reset or replaced. I assume that this is a Mira (Zest) or similar shower. DO NOT seal off the discharge indicator pipe or you will cause more damage. Post the shower make and model after your question.
Look in your handbook for reset info, or mail me.

It sounds like your Pressure Relief Device has operated.(PRD)
This is sometimes a very small diaphram at the end of the tube you mention. It may have operated because the shower head neads cleaning because it is scaled up with lime.
Consult the handbook or telephone the manufacturer for the spare part number.
Clean the shower head and hose after replacing the diaphram.(PRD)
Its a simple job to replace.

check that the plastic hasn't broken , or you may just be missing a rubber circular seal, or maybe try wrapping some PTFE tape around the thread this should make the seal stronger.
