I tried to raise the BAR thingy as it was on 0. I thought i,d turned the pressure screw off, but i hadnt. The BAR went to 4 and next morning my boiler blew up and LOADS of water came out of it.
I did notice the water came frm right side first, then it just poured out. (i did sit and sob for a little while)
Its a BIASE PRISMA 28SE i think its a combi boiler?????
Have i totally f..... it or can it be repaired?

Is this normal business practice or is this someone whom is just trying to get to you for a few extra bucks?

I recently hired a plumbing company to come out to my house and do a pressure check on my natural gas lines. Do they normally charge for drive time and then charge for fuel on top of that? Just curious, not that I mind paying for there gasoline out here because I know how much fuel prices are these days. But he began his hourly billing from what he considered to be his dispatch time which included the time it took him to drive here and the time he spent in my driveway on the phone with a previous customer.

Any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Would appreciate some advice, was going to replace like for like (copper), been told job would be much easier if I used plastic flexi pipe.

The camera is a Nikon F80 SLR with a back cover that allows date printing. The cover is made of plastic probably some kind of thermoplastic. I have no idea how the sticky substance got onto the camera or what it is exactly (got there after my sis used the camera). It looks and feels like the sticky grime that some stickers leave on certain surfaces after you peel off the sticker. I've tried wiping it with mild soap solution but that wasn't very helpful. They only way I know of removing the substance is by slowly and painstakingly scraping it to the side and then pinching it off but it takes forever and no matter how hard I try there's always going to be some grime left over. Please help. Many thanks!

hot water pressure is low from mains shower only, the shower pipe work is connected to the emertion heater from a t-piece junction with one pipe going to the other taps (kitchen sink/washing machine/bath and bathroom sink taps) and the other pipe going to the shower, cold water pressure is fine for all taps and comes out of the shower fine.
what could be causing the low hot water pressure to the shower?

I know, this is utterly stupid of me. But I ironed some wundaweb on the carpet, and it went through and went hard. Is there anything I can use to get rid of it? Will the old brown paper trick work like it does with wax? Or is there some miracle product I can use on the stain? I live in a rented flat so I need to sort this out asap.

I have low voltage wires from switch to lights (incandescent lights and my test showed AC current of 120v). But there is a relay in the box. There is power on the "white" wire and the "black" wire has nothing. The black wire goes into the relay and out to light. When I turn switch on, relay clicks but no lights turn on. I don't know what to do. Also, Please explain what is the purpose of that relay there.

What might cause a sudden reduction of water pressure/flow in every faucet in my house?

If it was happening at one faucet - I'd check the aerator and the faucet washers - but it's every faucet in my home.

Any suggestions???
