I have been renting a brand new home for about 6 mos .. well my husband and I got in a fight and i threw some plates on the linolium floor and it caused the floor to rip in some areas .. i was wondering if there was any way to repair this or do i need to replace the whole floor?

we have been seeing a counselor and i wasn't throwing it at him I threw it onthe floor to make myself feel better .. and it worked until i saw the big gash in the linolium..lol we have 7 kids i had some built up stress to let out no one was home or harmed

They have repair kits at Home Depot. After that, see a marriage counselor.

Here is a site that talks about how to repair vinyl floors. However, it generally means removing the damaged area and replacing it with an undamaged part.

If the gash isn't too bad, then I would just leave it and tell your landlord that a plate fell and broke on the floor and gashed it. He or she will probably just deduct the repair price from your deposit.

Lay new floor, type grouted tile those you can replace one at a time in case of future problems.

depends on the way the linoleum is made. Some have design in such a way that repair is possible. Maybe you will be lucky.
