Turn the water off to the toilet behind it. Disconnect the toilet from the water pipe. There should be a couple of nuts on each side of the toilet at the bottom where the base in secured to the floor. Take off those nuts of bolts. Now you can move toilet. Don't forget to drain it first. Now you can turn over to you can get toys out.

A toilet is really not that complicated, but it can be rather heavy. If you feel up to the task, do the following:
Turn off the incoming water to the toilet. Usually it's pretty easy to see the water line coming out of the wall and into the bottom of the tank. Flust the toilet and if you don't hear it running afterward you've successfully shut off the water. Flushing it will also drain the tank of most of the water. Repeat as necessary to get as much of the water out of the toilet as possible.
Unhook the incoming water line (they're usually flexible) using a standard wrench.
Look behind the bowl at the bottom of the tank and you'll see a large plastic screw on bolt-looking thing which, once removed, will allow the tank to come off the toilet. Remove the tank and be sure to expect a bit of water spillage for this job.
Now, under the bowl you'll see a plastic bolt cover on each side of the toilet, near the floor. Pop these off with a screwdriver and you'll see the nuts and bolts that hold your commode to the floor. These can be removed with a wrench and then have someone strong, or a few people help you lift the bowl off the floor.
You should be able to turn the toilet upside down and remove the offending toy and verify that the toilet is clear.
When re-installing the toilet, you have to be sure that the wax ring underneath the entire 'throne' hasn't been damaged. If it was damaged during the move, another can be purchased for a few dollars at your local Lowes or Home Depot.
Of course, this proceedure is assuming that traditional methods like a toilet snake have proven unsuccessful.

First, turn the water off to the toilet. Then, if it still flushes, flush it and try to get as much water out of it as you can (you may have to bail it). Then, unbolt the toilet, take it out, look in the pipe, anything? Probaly not, it's probaly trapped in the toilet in which case...I suggest getting a new toilet...unless you can fish them out. I smashed open a non-working toilet, lo and behold, a large plastic toy trick wheel was caught inside it. Good Luck.

You might be able to hook the toy up with a small plumbing snake available at Home Depot before you go taking the toilet off the floor. You will need a new wax ring if you do.
