What's the difference 'tween "flow" and "pressure" in my H20 lines?

Question

What might cause a sudden reduction of water pressure/flow in every faucet in my house?

If it was happening at one faucet - I'd check the aerator and the faucet washers - but it's every faucet in my home.

Any suggestions???

Are you on a well or city water?
Flow is amount, such as gallons, pints, etc
Pressure is pressure (force) expressed in PSI (pounds per square inch)

Maybe it's a problem with the main coming in. Do you have copper plumbing? If not, it's worth the investment.
