Dear: You have to work your way back from the electrical source. First, the bad motor may have kicked out the breaker, they usually have there own breaker. Recheck all the wires to the motor. Use a Ohm meter to make sure all the wires in the motor are working, than go to the switch on the dryer, maybe the motor burned the switch out.
Follow this pattern, from the switch box to the motor and.....if this doesn't help, call for help, your missing something.

Always check the dryer plug for 220v first -- no power>check breakers. Got power at the plug? Then follow the "source" into your dryer til you lose power. This could lead you to a bad lid safety switch, which can and will kill power to the motor. You should check this lid switch out -- just might be the "problem". Check the simple things first -- Good Luck.
