I would imagine it would vary by where you live and how large your apartment is, among other things. Why don't you call a few exterminators and ask them if the have free estimates? If they do, let some come out and do an evaluation and give you an estimate, then compare them. It would probably be a good idea to try to get some references from past customers if it's at all possible. They also make things called bug bombs that you could try if you haven't yet. I'm sure you can get one at a local Kmart type store, but be sure to read the directions before you buy because I think you have to vacate the apartment for a certain amount of time before it's safe to go back in.

You can do it yourself with a fogger that kills spiders. Cost?

5 to 10 bucks.
