My bath tub gets clogged so often, is there a way to put a filter so that all the dirt gets stuck in the tub instead of internally in the pipeline.

Question about the heat tqpe. I just purchase 18FT long heat tape with therolstat contral install in copper pipe and wrapped around with fiberglass. Unfortunately the pipe got frozon this morning. I touch the cable is very cold. I thought the cable is defect so I went to a store and bought another tape. I plug it to the outlet to test the cable never got warm in an hour. The question is how long will take the cable to heat up? The weather is aound 12F. Thanks.

They are recessed lights and take regular lightbulbs. One switch controls five lights. The other switch controls six and is a dimmer. We replaced them with bulbs like the ones that were originally in them: 60 watt bulbs. We don't leave these lights on a lot but the bulbs only last 2-3 months each -- and they are a pain in a neck to change. What could be wrong? Thanks.

I left the faucets on while I was away from home in case they did start to thaw. I came home and the faucets were running. Thankfully, nothing overflowed out into the floor, but my tub was full, as were the shower, the sinks and the toilets are close to overflowing. It's like the water has no place to go.
I'm guessing the drain is frozen, and just wonder what I can do to unfreeze it??? Or do I just have to wait til it thaws out and the water starts being able to drain?
Has this happened to anyone else??
Would using anti-freeze on the drains work?

Our water heater is no longer usable. We need to get it replaced. This is a gas water heater so we will replace it with another gas water heater. Unfortunately, it is located in a very inconvenient spot in our kitchen. Hard to access and well none of us know anything about water heaters. My question is, where should I go and who should I hire to replace my water heater? How much should I be looking at to spend on this? We live in the Houston area but we welcome suggestions from any parts of the country. Thank You.

I know they will with the old clay type but I am not sure if they will with the PVC type. How far away from drain tubing should a tree or plant be planted so it will not cause any issues or possible damage the pipe?

i have an old wall heater that keeps shutting off before the desired temp is reached. i had it repaired the and repairman said the regulator was bad. they replaced the regulator, but its still doing the same thing. i noticed that there is some type of sensor or switch mounted on the opening where the heat comes out from. it has 2 wires to it. when the unit shuts off, i would give it a light tap and it turns back on. whats the proper name and function for this thing? i sure would appreciate any suggestions or answers

I would like to increase the water pressure in my shower head. All shower heads contain water savers that make the water pressure 2.5 gallons per minute. I don't pay separately for my water and like the best pressure possible due to having a bad back. There is a little device inside the shower head. Does anyone know how to take it out?
