is it possible to repair the door of a fridge if it can't close anymore?...due to the rubber that makes it hold becoming
weak.

Of course it's possible - you'll need to change the rubber lining.

Be patient. Open the door 45%. Does it almost close or just sit there?
There should be little "legs" on the front of the Fridge, just in back of the door, on the bottom. They are adjustable. You want them to be just higher than level at the front. This will cause the door to shut more forcefully. If there is a problem with the magnetic strip that interferes with closing the door, you should get a new magnetic strip. It can be a pain to replace, depending on brand. Or just call an appliance repairman. A good one will fix the door-swing for no charge over the service call charge.
If you don't have the adjustable legs, or they are rusty or something, a piece of corrugated cardboard or two, is about the right thickness.

It's very simple job to change the gasket, go to the company's website and order it.
