I am just trying to get a idea of what I would be looking at and if I can afford it. The house size is 2200sqft. As a woman I would like to know that I am not getting ripped off.

interior windows? =) if you mean replacement windows, square footage of the house doesn't mean anything, it is figured by the number of windows as well as the size. The bigger the window the more it costs, a 27 x 72 replacement window I bought was about $150, without installation. Add installation to that and it costs about $300 for that window.

It may be a good idea to get 3 estimates from 3 different contractors. Without knowing your window sizes I could only guess at best.

10 windows = $3,000

Installing replacement windows is an easy job. I would get prices on the windows and then hire a good handyman to install them.
My landlord just had ten windows replaced in 6 hours. There were two guys and even then the labor would cost about 250 for all the windows. Even if the labor was as high as 400, thats only 40 a window.

for normal size windows 36" x 48" , double pane two pieces of glass), single hung (only bottom moves). Around $180, labor about $40-$60 per window. Additional cost if windows are not exact size and need to be trimmed ($40 - $60). Why not check on replacing the glass if the old windows are in good order.

Interior windows??? Not sure just what that means. I just replaced my windows with vinyl double hung windows, the average cost was about $850 per window, installed.
