In really heavy rain, my sump will run every 1-3 minutes. It will take days and days to slow to once every 20-30 minutes. Even after a week it may only slow to once every 40-50 minutes. I have verified that the water is running out to the street. We have a little dry well and the water is running into it. I've asked my neighbors and their pumps don't seem to be running as often; however, I'm about 1.5 feet lower than them, because I purchased an extra block. My grading is fine. It just doesn't seem possible that I have this much ground water.

So, is my water table really that high? Is there a simple way to check this?

Or are there things that I haven't checked? If so, what and how can I check it?

Thanks ahead of time!!!!

I have acquired an older model hut tub with a Len gordon control box. I was told it will work on either 110v or 220v. I can not get it to function at all on 220 without tripping the 20 amp reset button on the side of the box. I have searched on-line for a wiring diagram to see if there is a different wiring configuration that may help. I have not been able to find anything. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? The numbers on the box are: HL-2H and 6425425-1. I'm not sure if these numbers will be helpful. It uses a 1 HP 2 speed motor.

My trailer leaks, the gutters is full because my lazy pregnant wife can't clean them fast enough and I have a hole in my roof. I put the blue tarp on it and I hold it down with tires but in the fall weather the wind blows them all right off. I was gonna put some plywood I had up there but I'm afraid it won't hold the wet out, any suggestions?

Last night when we got home, all 3 floors ceilings were filled with smoke. We couldn't find the source of it. We cleared out the smoke by opening windows and turning on fans. Nothing else happened last night.

Well, this evening my son was down in the basement where our reck room is and he brought me a burnt up night light bulb that was not attached to the metal screw in he stated that he heard it pop. I went downstairs to see and sure enough there was smoke marks on the wall behind where the bulb was. The smell was the same as it was last night.

What would cause it to do this and how can I prevent it in the future?

Is there an easy way to install the switch without turning off the power or shocking yourself? Is the same true for installing a light in the ceiling where there is pre-existing wiring?

My oven decided to stop working the other day. It worked fine one day and then not so fine the next. The stovetop is gas - does that mean the oven uses gas too? Could it be a pilot light? I don't want to have to call a repair guy. Can someone please guide me in the right direction?

Oil is being sucked into the carburator after a few minutes running at high RPM. Could this be the result of a blown head gasket? Are there other seals that might be at fault?

I have already tried changing the filter, and the PSI is good. It takes a minute to fill just 6oz of water. Is there any way to speed that up? The ice maker works fine from the same line.
