My last glasstop stove never scratched. I guess this one is poorer quality. Any suggestions on getting rid or hiding the scratches?

I am remodeling my master bath. The maintenance and non-maintenance horror stories are enough to make me shy away from anything other than a plain old tub. BUT it'll be a higher end bathroom and I think a normal tub will look cheap when I go to eventually resell.

The tub is going into a three wall alcove. I want to tile the front since it'll look much nicer than the tub apron. I see pics in magazines but nothing explains repair issues.

we have a gravtiy fed spring system and recently were losing preasure. The houses internal filter was gunked up so we changed it and that temporarily seemed to up our preasure. But it didn't last so we decided to check at the source. The pipe from the spring house had been clogged and we opened that up which brought alot of spring water into the holding tank all at one time and stirred the tank up. Pressure seemed to go up again for about 24 hours but once again the pressure switch tripped off. There was alot of sedament coming into the house filter and required several changes of filters before the water started clearing up but it did. Thinking that was it we thought that now the pressure switch would hold. Once again it started to trip off. When it keeps its connection our pressure is great but the switch won't hold. What could this be?? We've tried the filter and the spring house?? Is it a bad switch that needs to be replaced??

I just recently baught a house that was built in 1935 and the walls are not insilated. The windows are old i think they are orginal to the house and have counter weights on them. They are wooden and double hung. Also the attic is insulated.

When its windy outside, some of the air vents at the top of my double glazed windows make a strange creepy howling noise. I've tried opening them+ closing them. How can i stop them making this noise? Great sound effect for horror or sci-fi movie! Lol.

The model is a Sears Coldspot, maybe already close to ten years of age. It will make these sounds once in a while, and then resume normal operation.

A lightbulb burnt out in my living room. I went to the store to buy new light bulbs, and I forgot to check the watts on the burnt out light bulb. I took a chance and bought a package of 75 watt light bulbs. I got home and saw that the burnt out lightbulb was 100 watts. Can I still use the 75 watt light bulb in this socket?

It's the thing that attached on the drain of the sink and grinds all the trash and leftover food so the drain doesn't get blocked? Thank you.

We are in the process of buying a home and the seller accepted our offer which was 5,000 less than the asking price contingent of the home inspection. We had the home inspection and there are lots of different things wrong; Bathtub leaks (puddles) into the basement; electrical wiring is not to code and potentially hazardous but the most concerning and costly of the probs is the roof. Which has improper ventilation, signs of leakage and moisture damage, two layers of shingles, exposed nails and blotched tar. Our realtor told the selling realtor that we need this fixed before we can proceed but he felt we were already getting a deal.. We have five days to proceed with the deal or bog out but we are hoping that the seller would replace this. IF A SELLER WANTS TO SELL THE HOUSE BADLY ENOUGH WOULDN'T BE IN THEIR BEST INTEREST TO HAVE THIS REPLACED? We could request all of the other probs fixed too but my husband and I were and are willing to fix them if they pay to fix the roof.
