in winter, go out of the house during the day and late into the night. If possible, spend your days away in a warm place like a public library. Never, use electric heater, shower at home. Go swimming everyday and usae the shower at the pool.
Dont use computer at home - use it at the library. Put batteries in your radio and get a battery operated tv. Switch off all electric things in your house.

There are a number of ways, most very simple. Energy saving light bulbs are good, especially in halls and landings where the lights are on quite a bit. Switch off applicances when not in use. If you have a mini-oven, use it instead of the main oven for heating small things eg pizza. Only use the washing machine and dishwasher when you have a full load and avoid the use of a tumble dryer if you can. Put your immersion heater on a timer so you dont forget to turn it off. Only boil the amount of water you need in the kettle and re-fil it when the element is still hot. Make sure the seals are secure in your fridge and freezer etc etc.

turning things off properly instead of standby can save alot more electricity than u think, telly alone can save you £36 a year if you switch it off properly,
plus the washing machine uses so much energy just having the standby light on, and the shower light too,
Also your tumble dryer uses loads! as it is now winter and you will probably have central heating on any way , dry your closthes on the radiators, makes you feel less guilty for having it on knowing your no tumble drying
finally SUN BEDS if you have on switch it on then run down stairs and watch the electric metre wizzing round!
the other thing is dont be fooled by the electric company sending you a letter to say they are putting your monthly payment up as they have estimated you are using more electricity, phone them and give them your accurate metre reading you will probably find that they are wrong and have over estimated! that is their biggest money spinner

It isn't generally realised that electric showers ( UK ) consume a staggering 40 amps of power at 240 volts which is equal to 96 100watt bulbs or 480 20watt low energy bulbs, all on at the same time in the same house !!!!!
Why do the electric companies allow such a drain on their supply.

Get some energy saving lamps, fit dimmer switches (NOT for energy saving bulbs) Turn of lights, and anything else not in use, insulate loft space, fit draughtproofing strips to doors and windows. DONT use tumble dryer, hang washing out to dry. Turn down thermostat on immersion if you have one. Don't use 'standby' on tv/ video etc. Check for a cheaper electricity supplier. Don't use a PP meter.

Turn off anything electric that is not essential. Take inventory of what electric products you are using that use the most electricity. Anything that heats or cools will use more energy.

adapt your lifestyle around the daylight hours. caveman style. Sleep and rest when dark, get up at sunrise.
Share everything with your neightbours. Get them to bang on the wall when they have a cup of tea, there is bound to be enough water left for you to get a drink.
Turn the oven off 10mins before cooking is due to finish.
There is an endless list for the truely energy conscious or eccentric.

Not have lights on in every room of the house, especially if no one is in that room. That's the same for tvs and radios. In order to conserve energy, one must reduce its use by cutting certain things off until needed and then don't leave it on once you leave that room.
