maybe in some cases. depends on what it's clogged with. if it's organic, and you put enough bleach in, it might eat away at the organic matter. essentially this is what draino does. the clog may be too far, though.

The bleach would not work unless the toilet is clogged with a cotton t-shirt. If you used enough bleach and had about a week to wait, it would eventually disolve the t-shirt.
Truth is chlorine bleach mixed with amonia rich urine would produce chlorine gas which is VERY bad.

Quite possibly. Bleach has an agent in it that eats away at things. That's why when you soak something in bleach, it breaks down the material.... so, it is possible that it can eat away at whatever is clogging the drain. So, in a way, dad's right.

Bleach will clean it, but won't unclog it depending on what is clogged. Don't mix with other chemicals.

I think there are better things to unblock the toilet. If he tries and fails to get the result he wants, you can say "Nyah nee nyah nee nyah" and use Draino stuff, or a snake thingy.

Hope you have two bathrooms in the house.
