What is an average cost to break up and remove uneven segments of concrete sidewalk in front of my house and then have a contractor pour new cement? I'd be looking for a "per segment/section" cost or per square foot, or however its usually billed.

Needing to replacing the fan motor for the home a/c condenser, and want to know if it's a simple DIY job. It's a GE 1/3 HP with 1075RPM. Please advise if there's any detailed info on the replacement online. What are some of the things I should watch out for? Any other associated parts with motor I should also replace?

Most of my outdoor equipment is electrical as I do not have the strength to pull the string on mowers, blowers, edgers, etc. and I have a very large yard and only one electrical outside. Right now I have to connect five extension cords to these items to reach around the house to the many areas.

I realize I cannot do this on my own but was wondering what I might expect to pay an electrician to have it done. I live in Florida

I have a "Trans" air conditioning system. I notice that the part of the unit (the square box-I do not know what they call that part)that is on the outside of my house (that contains the fan) is beginning to develop rust.
I notice the top of the unit does not have a cover. I guess this is because the unit needs to draw air into it. I was wondering, is there a special cover for the unit? Should I cover it? Or is it normal to have the top of the unit exposed to the elements such as rain and I should not worry about it.
I recently bought the house so I do not know if the previous owner ever covered the unit...

I've been doing this long drawn out renovation to my master bathroom, so it's been about 3 years since I've been able to run water throught the pipes in that room. These are steel pipes by the way. I just capped the pipes off where the sink and toilet would normally connect. Because I'm not running water through these pipes (although they are holding water), will they corrode more quickly? Am I to expect some really thin walls in these pipes by now?

I bought a kegerator about 4 months ago, it has a thermostat that can be brought down to 36 degrees but since week 2 will not let me set below 41. Is this a problem that I can solve or will it take a repair person? note: it is kept outside, but sheltered. And temp problem was prior to summer temperatures in Indiana

Occassionally we have black (purple) water come from our faucet when first turned on..it eventually goes away. There is virtually no smell to this discolored water and it has come from the kitchen sink faucet, bathroom sink faucet, toilet bowl and now I believe our swimming pool (as the water is very murky all of a sudden)....does anyone have any idea what this might be?
