How much does it cost to replace sidewalk sections?

What is an average cost to break up and remove uneven segments of concrete sidewalk in front of my house and then have a contractor pour new cement? I'd be looking for a "per segment/section" cost or per square foot, or however its usually billed.

We paid $90 per section two years ago. I believe cement costs have gone up during that time (thanks China!) but that should give you a starting point!

The troule is that unless you mix the cement yourself the cement company wants to sell it by the "yard". How many "yards" do you need? And they don't like to take leftover cement with them.

And if your contractor rips up the old concrete you will be charged for demolition and disposal.

Try having a "cap" on of concrete / cement poured on top of your broken sidewalk instead of completely replacing it. I have done this on driveways as well.

I had 1 section re-done a few years ago. It was $175 in MN.

Check the city where you live, the sidewalk is city property call in for the repair,after the sidewalk start the property line. You pay city & county TAX right?
