What is an inexpensive way to fix an asphalt driveway that has potholes, sunken areas, and cracks?

Bags of asphalt patch are available at Lowe's, Home Depot, and many other retail outlets. They are inexpensive compared to having an asphalt company do the job for you. Directions are printed on the packaging. Better to do this job in the heat of summer rather than cold weather when the patch material becomes very stiff and difficult to work with.

apply crushed road base with a blend of 3% cement mixed in mixer then spread levelled and then compacted dont forget to moisten but not to make it like a slurry just so when you pick it up in your hand and squeeze it just holds together
