It can be done but you'll have to hire an AC man.he'll be able to safely and legally evacuate the freon, and replace. Also the disconnect for the electric will have to bee relocated.

Yes, it can be done, but it will cost you some money.

You'll need to get someone to:

1) run electical power to the new location for the unit
2) re-run the tubing to the unit to the new location.

You'll need to hire an electrician and a HVAC contractor to do both.

One thing to watch out for is that some neighborhoods have rules about where you can place the outside unit.

my question is how much of it is in the way of building a patio????? if not much just build a cover around it or put lattice around it to hide it and go on with the patio. I would be expensive to move it and have it reconnected. I know this from my sisters experience. If possible just hide it.

Yes,but,only qualified and "certified" refrigeration tech's are allowed to reclaim the refrigerant and then recharge the system when your patio is finished. Protect the ozone layer!! :-)=
