Most of my outdoor equipment is electrical as I do not have the strength to pull the string on mowers, blowers, edgers, etc. and I have a very large yard and only one electrical outside. Right now I have to connect five extension cords to these items to reach around the house to the many areas.

I realize I cannot do this on my own but was wondering what I might expect to pay an electrician to have it done. I live in Florida

this can be done by putting a small trench about 24 inches down in the ground. use a metal type of conduit to run the cable from the house to the box. Put a pole where you want the plug to be. buy a outdoors electrical plug with a safety cover and reset buttons for the plugs. this will save you a lot of money for the electrican will hire someone else to do rhis kind of work. most electrican will then charge you about 100.00 to hook up the wire to code. Make sure you have the cable near the fuse box with extra wire. If you need more than one box in the yard, run a cable from the box in the yard to the next one and leave extra cable to wire them. When you buy the cable it is called romex with ground, asked at local hardware about the size for what you are doing.

I have run electric boxes to all sides of my house, what you do is go in the house and find an inside outlet, drill through the outlet to the outer wall, run your wire though the wall to the outside wall, tap into the inside outlet, seal all your openings with caulking, get your outside outlet from Home Depot, They have the whole kit for around 10.00, I have done this for 20 years and never had a problem, so at most it will cost around 15.00

There's no way to tell without being able to look at you home first. It's kinda like calling the mechanic and telling him that your car is acting funny and asking him over the phone what's wrong and how much it will cost. Sometimes an electrician will give you a free estimate, but, with the way the marekt is now, it may cost you about $50 for an estimate. Good luck!

Depends on the number of outlets you want to install. It could cost you $100 to 200 for the first one. Then $50 to 75 for each other one.

Unless the wire run is really long, over 200 feet, you will pay approx. $750-$1000
