I have some flowers that come up every fall. I have no idea what kind they are. They resemble a lily. There are just a few of them. There is more of them each year. They don't stay long and never blossom during the spring. Can anybody help me find a site that can help me figure out what they are?

I own one (indoor) plant. I've heard that it's good to talk to your plants. Is this true? And what am I supposed to talk to a plant about exactly?

What is the best way of filling 64 sq/ft within 1 foot deep with dirt. Should I use water during or after the hole is filled with dirt. How can I compress the dirt to make a nice solid ground to plant few 15 gal. trees.

I have a red/orange bromeliad house plant. I've had it for about four months. It is slowly losing its color. Is there anything I can do to preserve it?

About the length and size of my middle finger. It is black and looks like a giant ant. It has large wings... I have seen two in the past week around our fig tree. What the heck is it? Anyone know??

I purchased it on eBay a couple of yrs. ago & planted it in my back yard in bright Texas sun, but it has never bloomed. They grow wild in direct sun in the fields here.

I grow all of my own herbs and leafy green (spinach, lettuce, bok choi, rocket, silverbeet) - i find them easy to grow, easy to pick what I need, and that store bought greens don't last long in the fridge.
Apart from the convenience to me - does this help the environment?

Our dog has become obsessed with running back and forth the fence line chasing the neighbor dogs and now the trail has become muddy from lots of rain. We would like for our dogs to come in but cannot allow them to when they are filthy with mud.

I've heard that all my life, and I've told my children not to eat them, but I'm just curious about it now.

Does it mean that the soil is acidic, alkaline, or just rotten? We have a lot of shade trees, (see another question of mine) is that a factor, or no?

My dad did this years ago with his pear tree...I don't know what he used to "glue" the branch to the tree...some kind of black tar...it's really cool to have two different pear varieties on the one tree and I'd like to do that with this great tree I have out back as I love the pears there but want to remove the tree eventually because it's smack in the middle of my yard.

I planted Asters in my garden in early September. Two of the plants' flowers curled back and appeared to die. Is this just seasonal or are they sick? Should I replace them, or will they return in the Spring? There is no mold or other obvious diseases on them.

I've had TruGreen Chemlawn for about two years, and called to cancel their services, because they didn't show for two months. Also I have not seen a "treated area" improve over four months, and paid for extra services, still no results. I called and talked to a lovely person who was going to send a supervisor, but that was over 72 hours ago. I only did this cause I believe that a company has the right to improve a situation before someone goes and switches,,,.. so question.. anyone here ever have issues against Scotty's? Or disputes with TruGreen Chemlawn?

I have a flowering pear tree that was damaged with a weed whacker. I was wondering why it was not growing like my second one which is now twice the size as the other. Both trees are now three years old. Upon inspection I noticed the tree trunk damage. The damage is around the total of the base of the tree. I now know that I should have had some protection around the base but that is 20 20 hind sight. Thanks for the help!
