We have 1 tomato plant growing in our garden and although they are ripening and turning red, they are covered in black patches. Any idea what is happening and how to fix it. I have posted some pictures here: http://weblog.xanga.com/yahooanswerspicture/629942979/tomato-problem.html

They get plenty of sun, manly afternoon, and plenty of water.

What is wrong?

...that gets 3 to 4 feet tall, is green, and can't be killed easily by me? I'm bad about watering - usually not enough, sometimes too much, and I've killed everything in this one particular spot that is near a glass door and gets plenty of light.

I live in Ca, by the way, and it's usually temperate outside and no lower than 55 degrees inside.

Thanks.

Can't be messy

Should require no water

Not concrete (of course this isn't natural anyway)

I can't afford any more flagstone (I have Idaho quartzite patio in my back yard).

We've had two, both have died. Tried everything!
I can't seem to find some reliable information. Everything seems to contradict itself, do they like light? do tehy require lots of water? nothing seems to work

I have these little flies all over my houseplants. My hubby threatened to throw them all out (they are all over the place).
There has got to be something I can do to get rid of them?
I even tried not watering them for a couple of weeks, but the flies are still there!

So a couple of days ago, my boyfriend and I noticed tons and tons of these itty bitty red bugs crawling all over the floor by our front door. They are tinier then a pin head, a deep red color and have an oval shaped body. We thought we killed them but today they were everywhere! All over the kitchen floor, the walls by our front door and the floor by the front door. He has carpet so we can't tell if they are on there or not. Any idea what these are? Are they harmful? Do we HAVE to call an exterminator or can we get rid of them on our own? PLEASE HELP! I hate bugs and I am so creeped out right now. Thanks!

I'm growing my first bonsai tree and I really don't know much about plants. Today I was checking on them and I noticed that one of the little plants that grew fell out of the seed, is that normal? I'm worried that I killed them already lol. Any advice is welcomed.

I am tilling and sodding an area around the existing grass and just for uniformity and to make sure the grasses are the same, I was going to sod over the existing grass area. The existing grass is growing fairly well but is uneven and a bit clumpy. I want to till it and then roll the whole area before laying the sod so I have a nice smooth surface.

OK, I know the best time to plant is in the Fall, but I face a multitude of problems.

1) I live in NC and we are in the midst of a horrible drought.
2) My lawn is overrun with crabgrass
3) Both my neighbors do not keep up with their lawns and are where I got crabgrass in the first place.

Number one is why I could not plant a lawn this fall, two and three are why I am asking you all this question. How do I kill the crabgrass and once I plant my grass seed, and hopefully make it to where it is nice and lush - how do I fend off my neighbors' crabgrass?

A detailed list of what I need, and what I need to do would be great!
