I'm wondering if there is some sort of 'formula' that I could put on the grass so the dogs don't want to be around the area, or something that would neutralize the scent of other dogs. It seems like my lawn is the local potty stop. Help!

I have a weed on my property that produces a round, green fruit. Inside it is white and has many seeds.

I live in Kentucky, what could this be?

The day they hit the ground people are out raking them up.
Why do we rake them at all?
Why don't we let them just rot into the soil?

I have read that pulling them up would help but I have NO idea what the weed looks like to pull it up. Our yard was obviously not very well maintained by the people who lived here last. We only rent so I am not putting the $ into having the yard redone. Is there anything I can maybe mix with a grass seed and lay grass and "it" down together?

Any help would be appriciated. We have to put shoes on to walk to the hose!!!

Thanks all!

I had a great year for my little garden but when it started getting colder, I picked all of my big peppers that would eventually turn yellow, and put them in a window basket. They turned yellow but they are a little soft and withered by the time they do that. Is there a way to sun them so they turn the proper color but are still crisp? Same thing with my banana peppers.

I purchased a chinese money tree a few months ago and it was thriving quite well. However, my rather inquisitive cat discovered it and decided to eat the leaves. Ever since then, it just doesn't seem to look healthy. I recently transplanted it from it's generic plastic pot into a larger one with better soil. Now what? How often should I water it? How much sunlight should it get? I would really like to see this plant thrive. Thanx in advance.

PLEASE READ BEFORE ANSWERING

OF COURSE i have take my dog to the vet (specialised dermatologist), he has been wearing a cone (elizabethan) collar for almost two months now as his feet are so aggravated from the very rough concrete in our yard.
no matter how sporty and "durable" dog boots i buy, they are just not cutting it (he is VERY active).
SO i need to do something to get rid of the rough concrete.

WE DO HAVE A LOTS OF GRASS AREA, THE CONCRETE MAINLY COVERS ~30M2 CLOSE TO THE HOUSE (WHERE HE OFTEN IS WAITING FOR ME TO COME OUT AND PLAY)

I AM A UNI STUDENT AND DONT INTEND ON LIVING HERE FOR MORE THAN A COUPLE OF YEARS.
I CANT SPEND MORE THAN A COUPLE $HUNDRED.

so far i have thought of
- painting concrete with something smooth? is this going to work on very rough concrete
- putting down large rubber mats (expensive)
- a tarp (time consuming and always need to be straightened),
- mulch/pine bark? (painful to feet perhaps perhaps?)

any other ideas/thoughts?

Do you know what kind this is? It's peculiar in appearance because the petals always curve inward and have very light white lines on them, like a pink paeony flower, and the innermost petals are whorled, just like a paeony's. It also smells exactly like a paeony! I'd really like to know the variety so I can look for more of them.
If you don't know, what's the best way to find out? Does anyone know any good websites for identifying domestic plants based solely on appearance? Or even a book? Thank you for any information, and feel free to ask for more details as I will be checking back often. = )
