ok i live in idaho and right now the weather is really wierd yesterday it was 65 and today it is 30. I have already turned off the water for the yard but my mom is telling me to turn it on again because of the little bit of good weather we are having. She says that the trees and grass will die if you dont keep watering them. I said that once the leave fall off the trees then the trees dont need any more water. Am i right? I thought the only thing trees need the water for is for the creation of glucose through photosynthesis. ultimatly to make ATP.
Any thoughts? ideas?

I am Mongolian transfer student visiting hosting family here in a United State. My hosting family has large plant, much beautiful, and is family "hair loom," they say to me. They say to me it has been in family for 200 years. Before hosting mother left in morning she said to me that I am to give to hair loom plant water and plant nutrient spray. But I could not find plant nutrient spray in the garage shelf. I found "Anti Freeze" instead, and I pour some on hair loom. Now hair loom plant is very bad. What I have done wrong?

I saw this rose in the Birmingham (Alabama) Botanical Gardens and fell in love with it. But I can't find another one anywhere, and I can't get back to that garden any time soon. Anyone know what type of rose this is and what it's name (common and latin) is? It is to be the centerpiece of my wedding.

There's got to be a better way! There's tons of pecans on my lawn, along with tons of leaves and sticks too.Raking gets it all together, but then the pecans are all mixed with the leaf litter.Settling the pecans toward the bottom of all the leaves and twigs is only marginally working, leaving me to go through the leaves handful by handful to get the pecans out.Do any of you more experienced pecan harvesters have any better ideas?Simply strolling the lawn and picking pecans up by hand really isn't an option at this point, there's SO many. What works for YOU???

Thanks in advance for any help with this! Jus
