I have been finding holes all over my front and back yard from them. I noticed a huge nest up high in one of my maple trees. I have no idea how to get it down. Anything I can put out to get rid of them? I mostly just want the nest down. What if I throw rocks up there lol will that knock it down. And, I'm afraid of what is in there....Are there actually squirrels in there always?

We have a huge pine tree that is about 18ft & are thinking about getting it removed. I would like it down before Christmas since I can no longer light up the tree. It's simply too high. I used the second largest telescopic pole that Home Depot carried last year; this year it won't reach it.

If we get the tree removed I plan on getting some PVC tubing and run the lights down it on an angle - which would be staked to the ground.

Any rough estimates?

If you know alot about this please give me different prices for different sizes in case it is really higher than I think...hope not!

Thanks in advance!

Please see the link below for a pic of the tree. You'll see it on the left side. Sorry about it being blurry.

In case you're wondering, our electric bill is low. We use mostly LED lighting which is about 70-85% less electricity.

I'm testing what plant will grow for the longest period of time when watered with a mixture of motor oil and water. I know that the plants will die very soon, but I'll start watering them with the water oil mixture after leaves sprout.

What plant sprouts quickly that I can buy in the bulk (seed packets)?

I am leaving/selling my childhood home in Texas, and going to Massachusetts. I thought it might be a nice reminder of home if I could bonsai one of the tiny Oaks that are in the back yard.
Also, I understand that this is a fine art, I'm sure I will be able to find help with the larger process in Boston. But as of right now, I don't want to go digging up the back yard if it won't do me any good! In addition, if there are any websites that may help, that would be great, Thanks !

My family is looking to send a thank you plant to a lady who has helped us out a lot lately. She likes to work in the garden so we'd like to get something she can plant and will last. Have any suggestions for a plant that is in the gift price range and will be able to be planted soon?

I keep seeing these 1000 plus pound pumpkins on TV and I wonder if that's a genetic thing (like the kind of pumpkin they are) or if it's a matter of something the farmer is doing (like special food or soil or something).
