I purchased a chinese money tree a few months ago and it was thriving quite well. However, my rather inquisitive cat discovered it and decided to eat the leaves. Ever since then, it just doesn't seem to look healthy. I recently transplanted it from it's generic plastic pot into a larger one with better soil. Now what? How often should I water it? How much sunlight should it get? I would really like to see this plant thrive. Thanx in advance.

I feel your pain!!! I have 3 chinese money trees and i love them all dearly (as wierd as that sounds!)
#1- chinese money tree require very little water. i water every 2-3 days. Over watering the money tree can cause the leaves to turn yellow and limp.

#2- NO OUT DOOR SUNLIGHT!
these indoor plants need no outside sunlight.
Just sit it in on a table top, office table... away from sunlight
These are indoor plants.
exposure to sun will kill them!

#3- NUTURE THE PLANT!
i often take a dry napkin and clean each of the leaves.
removing any dust and keeping the money tree clean and green!

#4- KEEP THE MONEY TREE AWAY FROM ANY ANIMALS ! =)
I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU!

I have a 4ft money tree and I love it too. Water it when the soil gets dry. I water mine maybe once a week. It likes light, but keep it out of direct sun light. Indoor lighting is just fine for a Money tree. Also, if all your cat did was chew on the leaves then it should make a full recovery. Just make sure your cat doesn't use it for a litter box. I had a cat that loved to use my large indoor plants as a toilet and it would kill them every time. Money trees are easy. Just give it some time to heal.
Good Luck
