well my mum has 1 so i was thinking of breaking of 1 leaf/branch/twig or whatever you call it and sticking it into the dirt for it to grow.......will this work or is there some other method?

btw any aftercare tips like watering or anything?

Yes. Cut off an extention, stick it in soil, keep it watered, and it will root and begin to grow eventually. Any cactus or succulent will do the same.

they are a suckulant they are related to cacti.
plant in sandy soil water once a week with some liquid fertilizer once a month.

dig a small hole, shove it in the ground, h2o,it, its a tough plant!!

u can put it in a pot tht have gud soil as i have do
