What can be done to stop a plant like money plant to get decayed due to worms?

Tell me any homemade remedy, since solutions(powders) that i bought from the market are useless?

Drown them out..lift the plant..place in water-filled bucket..possibly root-bound,so gently tease out the roots,and leave in bucket for a few days...they need oxygen too..they will abandon ship.
