You don't say where you live but do not put any nitrogen feed on your lawn if you are moving towards winter. Nitrogen will encourage lush growth which will be damaged by the cold weather so the grass will just be wasting all that energy.

Be patient and just leave the grass, it will green up again all on it's own.

Don't know what zone you live in or what the wx is there but you should be able to get away with putting a little bit of iron sulphite or some nitrogen-rich based organic matter over the browned areas after raking it thoroughly first. If that doesn't work spread new grass seed over the affected lawn.

Turn the yard into a tiled patio. Then u can just sweep the leaves up & forget your lawnmower! Also save fuel & greenhouse gasses. Then try composting the leaves etc. to help the trees grow, so we can all breathe better air! Put pots around your patio & grow food.
