Pond snail eggs, I think the larvae eat the leaves, but you should leave them alone as the snails will eat the algae that grows around the edge of the pond if it's a plastic one.

Do you have aquatic snails in your pond? What is on your lily leaves sound like snail eggs. Aquatic snails/eggs do not eat lily leaves. You should not remove them. These help to keep your pond clean.
I have two large ponds, over twenty years now. Hundreds of frogs, toads, newts! I started off with 15 fish, now have almost 100! They breed every year!. The secret is keeping the balance right.Once you have done this,it should be ok. Keep a pump running regularly, especially in summer.October, cut your lily down, removing all leaves and stems. Remove any debris,ie,leaves, rotting vegetation.

Its more likely to be the water Lilly beetle larvae that's eating your pads.
The only way to remove them as with any pond pest is to be vigilant and when spotted, pick off or a jet of water from a hose knocking them into the pond for your fish to munch.

anything like that is tricky to get rid of i would clean out the pond take all your lillies out and wash them roots and all make sur your pond is really clean and check around it for anything overhanging that might be infected with jelly once you think its clear your good to go .do you have fish in your pond if you take a sample of the jelly to a pet shop they may be able to sell you a fish that likes to feast on it that could be the long term solution

Check with a garden center that specializes in back yard ponds. They may be slugs that are in your pond. They eat plants as do snails. Check with a professional and get the correct information.

leeches don't eat plants, they attach to a host and suck blood
jelly like things could only be snail eggs and they don't eat plants
koi will nibble on plants but won't kill them
I have found some caterpillars in my pond this summer that I wouldn't have thought lived in the water
just scrape the jelly things off and discard if you want to, they are probably not going to hurt your pond

This is the thing I have trouble about with Yahoo - it seems too good at c***ing things up. I answered this question ten minutes ago. So I wonder where my answer went?

Briefly I was saying are you sure the jelly-like bits aren't water snail eggs? I dont think they would eat water lily leaves.

dont feed the fish in the winter months, you will find that the fish and frogs etc will eat what rubbish you have in your pond when they are hungry including the horrible bits, resume feeding in the spring.
