I planted Asters in my garden in early September. Two of the plants' flowers curled back and appeared to die. Is this just seasonal or are they sick? Should I replace them, or will they return in the Spring? There is no mold or other obvious diseases on them.

Check the plants for aphids. They're little greenish looking bugs. Here's a link on aphid control...
