My problem is with a bee nest in my back yard that is under the ground. I didn't know I even had one until i was weed whiping the fence line and I got stung by one of the pesky occupants. My question is how can i get rid of or kill the bees that are at the nest, so i can dig out the nest and get rid of it? I have tried using palmaliv dish liquid and rubbing alcohol in a hose end sprayer but with no luck of killing the bees. any suggestions? my last resort is fuel oil and a match.

It's a light yellow with a green end, and it is developing stripes. I think it's too big to be gourd. It's a little smaller than a football.

My squash always starts off great, they flower and when the fruit starts to grow it shrivels up and the ends turn brown and falls off. This happens with zucchini as well. Any suggestions?

Should I do something to the soil or is this just how it is after a bad hurricaine. My soil is sandy anyhow, and I ive 60 miles from the coast but got lots of damage. Could it be the salt from the gulf?

I had two beautiful China Berry trees in my front yard before the hurricaine, the wind blew them down, they were very old. The city pulled them off the road but did not take out the pulled up roots, the goverment said they would do it when they came through of course they did not, now I have a thousand little trees coming out of the roots that look like a big bush that cover the house. I keep cutting them down, I would like to know how to kill these roots naturaly without pulling them up, that I was told could cause problems.

I am in a master gardening class and I want to impress the teacher. I have tried playing "Don;t Stand so Close to Me" on my ipod station when he comes and looks as my pussywillow plant but he just turns red and limps away.

Anyhoo, will this work?

I would like them to last awhile but I suspect they will rot or get mushy before I use them if I keep them whole and put them in the fridge or freezer. What's the best way to keep them? I picked a few this week after they got red and will have around 20 of them within a few weeks.

I am leaning toward natural mixed rocks for the bed. . .pebble size. Basically I want these to take the place of the wood chips surrounding the shrubs in the front of the house. I know you can get these by the bag at a garden store, but I'm looking at a 600 sq foot area and decent coverage (covers the underlying weed "plastic"). Are there companies that deliver this by the truck? Any rough idea of the cost for such a project?

I just put them in the ground at the beginning of the season, and they have not produced any flowers either. Where I am located, there has certainly been enough rain. Thanks for any input!
