Hi--
We bought a Meyer Lemon--They are supposed to adapt well to any hot area like where you are--THey can be grown in containers and brought inside to over winter--
They grow regular sized Lemons-and the blooms have a heavenly smell--
Hope this helps!

Most all will.
But even in Houston they will have to be protected from cold.
You can start from seeds also. Takes a while to mature.
If you can find a Ponderosa Lemon, you'll love them. They are as big as an orange. One will make a pie. YUMMMMMMMMMMM!

Takes a couple years to bear, unless it is a mature tree. Don't allow them to grow too tall. Keep it a size that you can bring indoors for winter. A large pot is best.

Improved Meyer Lemon or Lisbon Lemon. I have both. Lisbon has huge lemons and is more cold hardy.
