Tomatoes! How I love them! But mine are just now beginning to bear fruit - or should I say berries? Just this week they got some little green tomatoes on them. Is it the unusual heat and precipitation we've had?

They do not seem to be that common in the Midatlantic States, from what I can tell. Are there States out west where they are more common? To what types of areas are they attracted--soil, topography etc. There is not much information on the gopher through conventional search. Thanks.

It has to be hand watered, do I water it everyday, in the morning or evening? It doesn't get constant full sun, but is in the sun until late afternoon. What can I do to perk it back up?

I would love to have some good quality seeds, but it just sounds like a really bad idea to order something like that over the internet.

We just removed some overgrown bushes from the front of our house. We now have this 18'x7' area that is between our front walk and our house. What can we do there, in terms of landscaping? We have mulch in many areas around the house so I was hoping for something different...I suggested a small pond, but my husband would rather put one in the back yard. Suggestions???

This is a maple sapling that popped up in my vegetable garden. I'd like to transplant it into my yard, but I have no idea as to whether this is a good time of year to do it or how to do it. Thanks

I think it was a common shrub planted outdoors in the
1950's or 1960's. If someone knows how tall it grows and
if it should be planted in the sun or shade, I will appreciate
all the information.
Thank you.

My son received a small tomato plant on a field trip. We don't know anything at all about gardening, but we planted it in full sun and now it is enormous. It has little yellow flowers, but no tomatoes. What did we do wrong? Is it too late in the season to fix it? We are in the Midatlantic area of the US.

I want to keep my garden beautiful I have no Idea which are the weeds and which are plants ( Not Flowers ) ? I know the common ones like thistles & dandilions. Also some of the flowers are a bit discoloured. I make sure I water at least everyother day, if needed I need a crash course in gardening without killing my beautiful plants.

I'm growing some dwarf apache chillis, and they all look healthy. The pic on the label indicates they'll be long, thin and red (I only have two red short ones). Al the rest are green and fat and on testing *very* hot. Are they dwarf apache? And when should I harvest them?

I have a rooftop garden with several pots and 18 varities of Hibiscus. One I had an attack of aphids which I controlled with insecticide. Latest is a severe attack of mealy bugs on hibiscus. They seem to be immune to spraying, appearing again within a couple of days.

I have a big olde' chestnut tree in the front of my neighbours house, but the roots keep pushing into our yard, and everything under the overhanging of the tree dies if you plant anything. Do you think I can grow anything, if I put a barrier between the ground (ie: newspaper - lots of it) and then a bunch of soil on top. Do you think it'll work?
