I pulled the weeds constantly throughout the season, even sprayed a couple times....eventually they took over (it's some kind of crabgrass that sends shoots out and the shoots root and just take over a garden in no time) mulch was a futile effort.......I spent 6 hours yesterday, pulling weeds, and still have 4 hours to go...does the black 'fabric' you lay under your mulch, really help? I'm thinking about laying it in my flower beds next season....

or it is possible to put it in the pile of suger, put some water on it, and to put little dried suger on top.

i think that the suger can give energy and warmth to the bean seed.

If i had 5 different kinds of bushes i was using, would you recommend using a pattern or groups of bushes? Just to clarify this is going around the permiter of a picnic area. Also, would you plant each bush the same length apart, or measure so that when they're fully grown there will be equal space between them? (they grow to various sizes)

I am forced to pay $300 per year to trim it back to the property line (she won't allow any more than that), and within a few weeks, it hangs over again, dropping berries all over my backyard.

I use Tide liquid, the bottle says "phosphate free, biodegradable surfactants & enzymes. Safe for septic tanks". Since The plumbing is being worked on for a few weeks, I have to let the wash water drain into a big tub, then we dump it in an unused part of the yard. I hate to waste water, thought maybe I could use it to water the garden?

Would someone know what might be eating on my pepper plants? There are black chewed holes all over the peppers and I am having to throw the peppers away. I have kept the plants dusted all summer with "Sevin" but whatever is eating on the plants and peppers seems to be immune to the dust. Can someone help me?
