Without more info it is difficult to tell. It is outside, right? How often are you watering it? In my experience Sago palms get overwatered very easily. If the leaves are turning yellow that could be it. Is it in the sun or part shade and in what climate? It could fry in the hottest sun. Is it the lower leaves or the middle new growth? The lower leaves will die and need to be cut off as in all palms. Only new growth occurs from the middle.
Good luck :-)

In my experience, it is more likely suffering from OVER watering than UNDER watering. Let it get pretty dry in between waterings (if it's a large sago, let the top two inches of dirt get dry before you water next).
When you water it, water it thoroughly... but leave it alone until it dries again!!
Happy gardening!

I have several in pots and they looked like they were dying and I just put miracle grow on them once a week and several new plants came up. In pots they don't like a lot of sun from my experience.

Mine went thru what looked like dying- it needed water. After a few months in the sun with intermittent water it is looking fine-- the center rib of the fronds is going yellow-- rest is green-- any advice from answerers?

It could be over watering. Or, it could be too little watering. Maybe roots bound. It's hard to say. You should take it out from the pot, and see if the soil is too dry, too wet, or roots is all bounded.
