Would someone know what might be eating on my pepper plants? There are black chewed holes all over the peppers and I am having to throw the peppers away. I have kept the plants dusted all summer with "Sevin" but whatever is eating on the plants and peppers seems to be immune to the dust. Can someone help me?

These blacks holes are on the sides of the peppers not the ends. No it's not blossom end rot I know what that is.
I'm just wondering if any insect or maybe slugs would leave black holes in the peppers?
Whatever it is "sevin" isn't killing the pests.

Sevin works well on chewing pests, but not on ones that suck, perhaps that is the problem.Malathion work well and is used on vegis and ornamental. However if you think ii is a sucking pests such as aphids or mites you might try just a soapy water spray, a few drops of liquid dish soap in a spray bottle of water. Be sure and get all parts of plants. If you are not infested too severally this will work just fine.
Another thought, would be perhaps the black holes or actually burns from the chemical left on the plant, this can be a fungi if left on wet at night fall, or actual burns if applied in the heat of the day.
Hope this is helpful, God Bless

Pepper rot. Unfortunately, it happens and can ruin a lot of your peppers. actually if a pepper only has a small spot that hasn't perforated, you can cut it out and till use the pepper.

Almost sounds like blossom end rot. You can google for info and photos to see if this might be your problem.
