The mug is pretty big for a mug. It's like the size of a toilet paper roll. How do I know how much water to put in it since it doesn't have drainage?

I get about 5 hours of direct morning sun in the dry shade spot I want to plant my fountain grass. Its near a huge mature oak tree that sucks the water out or a lot of my back yard, but still manages to let boxwoods grow about 7 feet from its truck. I plan on planting my fountain grass about 10 feet away from the same trunk. Also, will the grasses multiply every year? So should I not bunch them too closely when I plant?

The olive tree is in a big terra cotta pot. It needs to stay in the pot. It looks dead, but if I break off a twig there's still sap running inside. Should I trim it back to almost a stump?

I tried it and it seemed to work - until it rained. Anyone know where I can get a quantity - like 25 or 50 pounds - for a reasonable price? E-bay had some but at a dollar a pound to ship all savings are lost....... I lilke it because it is safe for cats....

theory on this stuff is that it scrapes off the coating on the exoskeleton of the ant so it dries out. I have tiny (1/4 inch) red/brown biting ants that STING like crazy and even the pros won't tackle 'em. THey say they live so deep in the ground that there is no way for them to exterminate them all and so - with their guarantees - they would be coming back forever for free, so they won't even try.

If anyone can suggest anything else that worked for them I'll give it a go -- right up to radiation!

We just purchases a home and have a retaining wall with railroad ties. I want to plant a few trees and have a nice decorated flower bed. In the front can you plant seeds so they hang down. Would love to read ideas.

My Bonnie plants from Wal-Mart have made me a pitiful crop of tomato's......they set numerous amounts of blooms but no tomatos....blooms just fall off.....any ideas what may cause this. ( could it be the heat.....steady temps in mid - to high 90's all summer) Maybe Bonnie plants are the problem?

In mt office during the day it gets quite cold with the air con and hot at nite, could this have somthing to do with the problem.
They get waterd when thr soil is dry as this is what the seller said should be done.
When you touch the spots you can feel them, there very small and hard.

I have seen how people put the "vines" from their pothos plant along the top of cupboards or counters etc.. can someone please tell me how to make it grow like that so nice. Mine has vines that are only 1-2 ft. long.. how long will it take for them to grow to longer lengths? Also what kind of pot should I plant it in? The pot that it's in seems so bulky and also there are a lot of vines planted together.. should there be only one planted for what I'm trying to do? If anybody knows how to make this look nice along counters and stuff please explain in detail what I should do.. Thank you

Got a Lantana today has numerous flowers that are basically tri-colored. (Pink, purple and a little yellow) Other flower tops specially around the outer edge of the plant are solid yellow in color. I'm wondering; (i) what ph they prefer; (ii) soil type; (light requirements for best flowering results and (iv) should I amend with phor. or nit., Also how draught resisent are they. Thanks tricky ricky
