I'm guessing here based on observations of other people building stock tanks. You'll need to line your tank with a layer of clay and then plastic sheeting, followed by another layer of clay. If you're building this in sandy soil, my guess is that there is probably present as well. I really hope you get a better answer than this to your question.

Have you tried lining it yet? Ask a pool dealer, or better yet a stock tank dealer what you can do or buy to fix the problem.... however, you may run the risk of them telling you it just needs to be replaced or moved or both! Good luck!

You'll need someone to put a clay soil cap, compacted to nearly 95%, or have a pond liner installed.
